The true heirs of Ireland's folk heritage, The High Kings, are back with their brand new album "Grace & Glory" set for release on May 13th 2016. Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden have returned with their finest album to date. "Grace & Glory" features the song 'Schooldays Over' which the band performed to great acclaim on the 2016 RTÃ‰ broadcast of Ireland's Centenery, to a massive international audience. The album also features a version of 'Hand Me Down My Bible'. The version on the album features a third verse, written especially for The High Kings by Phil Coulter. The song was originally written by Coulter for The Dubliners in 1970. The High Kings walk on song at every live show is 'The Boys Are Back In Town' by Thin Lizzy. The new album features a folked-up cover version of the classic, which was released 40 years ago on April 17th, 1976. In 2015, on their first UK visit, they played two capacity shows at Cambridge Folk Festival. 2015 Winner - What's On Guide UK -- Artist of the Year. In 2016 The High Kings were the only artist to perform on all 3 stages on all 3 days of the Isle of Wight Festival. The High Kings also performed on 2016's Glastonbury Festival.
