Is It Me...?
From Aretha Franklin's sassy blues classic "Doctor Feelgood" to "Pure Imagination" from the 1971 film Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory to her originals "You Just Can't" and "Midnight Prayer", Polly runs the gamut.
Her influences are broad and inspired - from the poetry of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, to the be-bop of Charlie Parker, the deep wails of Mahalia Jackson's gospel, to the emotional depth of Donny Hathaway, Billie Holiday and Nina Simone; the soul of Marvin Gaye, the blues of Buddy Guy and more contemporary brilliance in the sounds of Prince and D'Angelo.
In the summer of 2016, Polly opened for jazz guitar great George Benson and the "Empress of Soul" Gladys Knight on their sold-out UK tours. London Jazz News said of Polly's show at Royal Albert Hall that "listening to her open up with soul and passion is a joyous experience." Polly signed to Resonance Records in 2014, and soon after recorded the album 'Many Faces of Love' in Los Angeles with founder and producer George Klabin. Polly pulls out all the stops on her highly anticipated follow up album 'Is It Me...?'.
