But the hits they did have all became funk anthems".."Shot Of Love" was originally released in late 1978, and charted on the Billboard album chart the following year. The album contained the hits 'It's All The Way Live', a Top 5 R&B single, and 'Given In To Love'. The 'It's All The Way Live' single version is available as a bonus track on this package.."Rough Riders" was released in 1979 and contained the singles 'Pull My Strings' and 'From 9:00 Until' and again those versions are available on this release as bonus tracks..To finish the set "Fantastic Voyage" was Lakeside's biggest album, which was a Top 20 Pop album and featured the No.1 R&B single of the same name, and the follow up 'Your Love Is On The One', another Top 20 R&B Hit..Package contains sleeve notes by Christian John Wikane a New York based writer and music essayist and contributing Editor for PopMatters.
