Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (Original London Cast)
Description
The 1962 London production of the Broadway musical 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' starred British star comedienne and actress Dora Bryan (A Taste of Honey) in the leading role of Lorelei Lee. Unlike the Broadway production which was recorded in mono, the London production was recorded in stereo, in which Bryan sings the show's showstopper "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" from the Jule Styne-Leo Robin score in her inimitable style. Other familiar numbers are "Bye Bye Baby" and "A Little Girl from Little Rock". This recording is appearing on CD for the first time with four bonus tracks (including a "pop" version of "Diamonds").
