New Jersey born guitarist Tony Mottola worked with the great singers such as Sinatra and Perry Como from the 1940s to the 1970s, and was even resident guitarist on the Perry Como TV shows, before making best-selling records in his own right. 'Roman Guitar' (on Sepia 1174) was a Top 30 best seller resulting in a sequel 'Roman Guitar' (Volume Two) which made #46 in the U.S. Volume Two offers another winning collection of familiar songs from Italy such as "Anema E Core" and "Summertime in Venice". Paired with 'Spanish Guitar', the latter has Mottola performing songs with a Spanish flavour such as "Lady of Spain", "Tico-Tico", "Granada" and "Frenesi".
