    Drawn together by a great love for Irish traditional music, The Doon Ceili Band formed in 2003. Paddy O'Brien, the master accordion player from County Offaly, sourced most of the material on this CD, hunting for tunes and settings particular to remote areas of Ireland, reinterpreting and adapting others to complement a unique ceili band sound. The other players in the band are: Kate Dowling, Laura MacKenzie, Brian Miller (flutes), Jode Dowling, Django Amerson (fiddles) and Sean Egan (piano).
