Description
Chuck Loeb is one of the top guitarists in Smooth Jazz. This sizzling, romantic collection is inspired by and dedicated to the artists that have impacted on his musical life. Chuck salutes the legendary Stan Getz, his former boss, by re-inventing the classic "Girl From Ipanema", giving this timeless bossa-nova a fresh, funky groove and blazing guitar riffs. In tribute to jazz guitar great Jim Hall, his mentor and teacher, Chuck has penned "A Double Life" a smooth band jam with a big band twist. Meanwhile, "Brother Ray" is a tribute to the late great Ray Charles, who inspired Chuck as a youth. Hit making producer Davy-D collaborates with Chuck on a radio-ready Smooth Jazz anthem, "Anytime, Anywhere". Special guests on WHEN I'M WITH YOU include bassist Will Lee (of Late Night With David Letterman), ultimate Smooth Jazz saxophonist/producer Dave Mann, Andy Snitzer and Mike Davis (from the Rolling Stones' horn section). -
