An absolute classic recording from the British folk song revival of the mid 1960s.
The duo of Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick defined the British folk song revival and their recordings are regarded as highlights from the genre. Together and individually Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick have been involved with most of the significant developments of British folk music over the past forty years. Unafraid of the bold or the new, Carthy & Swarbrick laid down the template for succeeding generations of musicians. For many critics, Prince Heathen from 1969 was their finest recording together.
