Auryn's Haydn - Op. 64 Joseph Haydn String Quartets

Disc 36 out of 36 - Blu-ray (total playing time 140'00) This monumental series has been a huge task to complete, but it was worth it - and how! Some time ago, this cycle on CD won prizes including the Echo and the German Music Critics' annual prize. For all that, the release on CD only signified an intermediate stage. The whole project was initiated out of pure zest for the new "structural" sound and because there had not been any comparable series in TACET Real Surround Sound before then. We wanted to show that in times of Youtube and MP3 there was another perspective for high-quality music storage - in the form of a novel and creative Surround Sound. This gigantic project came along just at the right time for this. The 6 Quartets, Op. 64 played by the Auryn Quartet on Blu-ray disc completes the cycle of all the string quartets of Haydn in TACET Real Surround Sound. The completion of this project accompanies TACET's 25th company jubilee.
