Description
Tymon Dogg’s latest project, The Quikening, delivers a powerful, highly original sound, with thought-provoking content. GUANTANAMO is Tymon Dogg´s first record release since the untimely death of long term friend and collaborator Joe Strummer with whom he co-wrote
many of The Mescaleros´ hits including Mondo Bongo. This is a passionate indictment of the US military detention centre demonstrating Dogg's wide ranging musical virtuosity on instruments including piano and violin as well as his ongoing commitment to telling it like it
is. The EP includes two other songs: the raucously political "Oil" and the sweetly tender "Cold Wind Blows".
Tracks: Guantanamo / Cold Wind Blows / Oil. -
