This unique collection from one of Britain's greatest singer songwriters is released to coincide with the publication of his autobiography of the same title. The release's 'words-and-song' format reveals the man behind the music. The three CDs feature beautifully-crafted songs interspered with selected readings from the autobiography to take the listener on a journey from Ralph's childhood in 1950s south London to his discovery of the guitar as a teenager, from his earliest memories to the dawn of his forty-year musical career in the mid-1960s. Although the set's music, poetry and stories reflect the past with sensitivity and insight, all are brand new recordings; indeed, three of the songs were written specially for this album and have not previously been released.
