Hole In The Universe
Description
The Destroyers are a collection of musical friends who formed to play Balkan folk tunes in 2006 but which grew into a 15 headed, 30 footed monster touring festivals & clubs with roaring energy and fronted by songwriter/beat-poet/folksinger Paul Murphy.
Taking a 'no-holds-barred' approach, all 15 members were creatively involved in making The Destroyers' second album,' Hole in the Universe'. Songs ranging from the most sinister and intimate to the most joyous and universal are given fitting accompaniments from this highly versatile band equally at home as a folk group, rock band or orchestra.
Enter the big top and be immersed in the winding world of the hurdy-gurdy and sonorous land of the tuba, Here you'll find the ravages of war, the tyranny of endless work, the politics of red tape and the wonders of the universe.
