    Having karate-chopped their way through some spiky EPs and two Choice-nominated albums, which both charted in the top 3 in the Irish chart, FLApes are back with their first release since The Body of Christ and the Legs of Tina Turner. About time for the band named the fourth best Irish musical act of their generation by The Irish Times in 2009. FLApes have hooked up with UK indie label Alcopop to release the Whigfield Sextape EP, offering four fantastic new tracks that manage to keep the band's agit-pop edge whilst dispensing with some of their traditional distorted sound. The opening track 'Crouching Bees' is a taster of what's to come on the new album, set for release later in May 2014. The band are keen to get back on the airwaves and on the road after amazing support from their fans to get the new album recorded (through a fund-it campaign). Having played dynamite performances at the likes of Glastonbury, T in the Park, Oxygen and festivals across Europe, FLApes are ready to unleash the new material on an expectant audience this summer. As they sing on the final track 'Tyson' - "Don't leave this band; you'll go insane." We're not going anywhere...
