New release on Flogging Molly's Borstal Beat label. With the European release of their second full length, "All Of The Unknown", on August 19th, 2013 on Borstal Beat Records, The Drowning Men deliver a record bristling with taut energy and melodies enough to win over any self-respecting music lover. Formed in 2006 by long-time friends Nathan "Nato" Bardeen (vocals, keyboards, guitar, mandolin), James Smith (guitar, vocals), and Rory Dolan (drums), the three quickly recruited Todd Eisenkerch (bass, vocals) and Gabriel Messer (keyboards, vocals) to round out the line-up. After self-releasing their first EP, Kill The Matador, in 2007. In 2009, the band went into the studio with Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession, Ugly Casanova) to record their first LP - The Beheading Of The Songbird - which was self-released that year and then officially re-released in the USA by Borstal Beat Records. A recent tour in Europe supporting legend Roky Erikson has laid the groundwork for a full European campaign on their most recent long player, which will be supported by more European shows, including dates with Chuck Regan, and with label-mates Flogging Molly. -
