Description
The Jones Gang were put together by former Small Faces/The Faces/The Who drummer Kenney Jones. He stumbled across singer Robert Hart after being given a Bad Company CD by his friend (and Bad Co member) Boz Burrell. Kenney loved Robert's voice but was sold when he same him perform live. Rick Wills involvement brings the rhythm section full circle as they'd performed together in the (reformed) Small Faces. Obviously when you have over four decades of music business experience behind you getting a few of your famous friends to drop by isn't too difficult, hence the involvement of the Rolling Stones (and former bandmates of Kenney's) Ronnie Wood and Ian McLagan. Add to that Rod Stewart's guitarist Gary Grainger (another connection to The Faces) and Dave 'Bucket' Colwell on guitar (a former bandmate of Robert's in Bad Co) and what you have is a collective of friends and former colleagues that have come together to record an album that defines classic rock music. -
