Description
The fourth album by German electro-jazz group Nightharks on double 180 gram vinyl.The Nighthawks have developed their own international sound that mixes jazz with electronics. Over the last decade and a half the productive collaboration by trumpet-player Reiner Winterschladen and bassist/producer Dal Martino has resulted in three German Jazz Award-winning albums.
'4' includes a number of guest vocalists, such as the hypnotic voice of DePhazz singer Pat Appleton on "Define the Day" and Brazilian singer Patricia Cruz on "Pensando em outro mundo". On "Here We Are" the American singer Shannon Callahan adds brilliant vocal accents. Also in the studio in Düsseldorf were pianist Jürgen Dahmen (Propaganda, Temptations, Tan), guitar player Markus Winstroer (Lalo Schifrin, Randy Brecker), drummer Thomas Alkier (Dizzy Gillespie, Nigel Kennedy), keyboard player Xaver Fischer, Thomas Kessler on synthesizer and Konstantin Winstroer on bass.
