  • Description

Award-winning musical comedian Richard Morton has created music for fictional films and imaginary TV shows set in swinging London circa 1966-73. Each atmospheric instrumental theme is accompanied by its own full-page synopsis and a suggested cast list of actors from the period, all contained in a beautifully packaged 24 page booklet.

'The Theme That Never Was' is a heartfelt tribute to the work of some fantastic composers of film and TV music in the '60s and '70s, such as John Barry, Burt Bacharach, Lalo Schifrin, Michel Legrand, Henry Mancini and Laurie Johnson, to name but a few. It's also an affectionate and respectful homage to everyone involved in the realization of some fabulous TV shows, such as the Avengers, the Champions, the Persuaders and the Prisoner and some wonderfully iconic films, like the Ipcress File, Blow-up and Up The Junction. They define an exciting generation of incredible talent, expertise and ingenuity. They were original and stylish, sexy and glamorous, action-packed and funny but, above all, so groovy!
