Two of the countries best loved and leading Sqeezebox players come back with their classic 1997 album plus a new album to compliment the release. Featuring Simon Care from such prestigious bands as The Albion Band and multiple session work in the folk world along with Gareth Turner of Little Johnny England and The Phil Beer Band. Sadly this will be the last works of Gareth as he left us too soon in 2023.
TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS AGO we decided to record an album called Two's Up, we never ever thought it would appeal to many people, but to our complete surprise, lots of people wanted to hear two squeezers from Northampton doing what they do!! We always planned to do a second album but never imagined it would take so long. I know they call it the difficult second album, but 27 years is pushing it a bit. Anyway, in the summer of 2022 we found the time, the enthusiasm, and the material to head to the studio. As most of you now know Gareth was going through some very serious medical procedures at the time, but still found the spirit and the strength to record. As he said at one point "morphine isn't a performance enhancing drug..." but being a total legend we managed to capture this recording. I am so glad that we did because we didn't know that we would lose him so soon.
