Description
Based on the novel "Lion Of Ireland", Maurice Lennon has set out to tell the story of Brian Boru through music. Maurice Lennon, best known as the fiddle player with Stockton's Wing is joined by some of the very best Irish musicians around for this projectincluding Donal Lunny, Mairtin O'Conner, Noel Eccles, Greg Boland and guest vocalist Sean Keane. From it's opening sequence, it's the organic ensemble playing that leaves the deepest impression. Orchestral in its sweep, yet more akin to the cosiness of the session in its tone, this is a musical journey that would welcome entreaties from snug to concert hall alike. -
