Terra

Off the back of an all-star remix EP, Francesca Lombardo returns to her own Echoe imprint with two show-stopping originals, both aimed directly at the dancefloor.

Title track "Terra" takes the release's A-side, offering a heads-down, rolling groove alongside cavernous atmospherics and densely textured drum-programming. The main arpeggiated refrain, hypnotic in nature, gently evolves over the songs near 9-minute expanse, as Lombardo's expertly processed vocals punctuate; almost indiscernible to the listener. Perfect for those early hour moments!

On the flip, Lombardo delivers the decidedly tough "Side Fragole", kicking things off with an urgent and pulsating bassline that provides the song's low-end warmth as talkative synths, working in call and response with distorted toms, layers progressively. Heavily automated FX creates tripped out passages throughout the composition, leading towards a deftly crafted breakdown that would ready any crowd for peak-time elation. A true dancefloor burner!
