Description
Francesca Lombardo's Echoe Records returns for its seventh outing, a remix package of INTO YOU's "Perfect Blue" EP, released back in 2016 to the delight of electronica's more melodic and tech-driven fanbase.
The first "Perfect Blue" remix comes courtesy of Superfiction Recordings' head honchos the Italoboyz, who make their fun-loving production style clear from the get go. Rainforest conjuring, animal-centric samples populate the track's atmosphere, as a steady beat chugs alongside fevered bass stabs, steadily increasing the pressure. A catchy four bar hook enters the fray, offset by classic deep house chords as the song rolls blissfully onwards.
Mauro Alpha steps up for remix number two, delivering a more heads-down, techy reinterpretation where submerged, pulsating basslines trade blows with percussive hits and hi-end synth work. Glitched out effects fill the space, as serene pads lead towards an uplifting breakdown, taking cues from the musicality of INTO YOU's original, whilst injecting further energy through precise and groove-laden drum elements.
Rounding off the package is the hardware obsessed duo the Analog Boyz. Their rework, deftly adorned with big-room touches and primed for peak time moments, holds a driving pace via warm subs, chest-rattling bass hits and rolling drums. A touch of euphoria is deployed, adding to the remix's overall sense of suspense and release, whilst offering a dramatic finale to ECHOE007.
