Jaywalkers are one of the most exciting, virtuosic and entertaining up and coming young bands on the UK folk scene. A strong foothold in folk, with occasional bluegrass references and the recent addition of slap bass creates a sound that is not only unique, but guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Lead by 22 year old mandolin virtuosa Michael Giverin. Singing and playing fiddle is 19 year old Jay Bradberry and on slap double bass Lucy Williams. After reaching the final of the BBC Young Folk Awards in 2009, the band has gone from strength to strength, performing at many major UK folk festivals and radio stations. -
