Singer Lidia Pujol's first solo album is a babel-like confrontation of languages and sonorities: Catalan folksong, Celtic or Yiddish pieces, a mosaic of irrespressible impulses that are multi-coloured and surprising. The use of principally acoustic instruments to describe feelings of tenderness and rage or to add a hint of mystery here and there betrays a great level of craftmanship. She surrounds herself with a number of musicians of unquestionable stature, including Oscar Roig (guitar, organ, composer, co-producer), Dani Espasa (piano, composer, arranger, co-producer) and Brian Dunning of Nightnoise (flute).
