  • Description

Since the year of its foundation in 1978 the Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna has established itself as a top-class ensemble for the authentic interpretation of Viennese music.

The annual New Year's Concerts of the Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna at the Great Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus are seen as one of the musical highlights at the turn of the year. In this particular performance they perform works by the Strauss family - Johann Strauss Jr, Eduard Strauss and Johann Strauss Sr, as well as a piece by Johann Schrammel.

The SFO, which consists of members of the large Viennese orchestras and excellent specialists, has developed into a worldwide leading ensemble. Performances on the most prominent stages of international concert life are a sign of international esteem.
