Description
The Ford Blues Band has its roots in the late '60s US white blues scene when Ford brothers Robben (guitar) and Pat (drums) were part of one of Charlie Musselwhite's hottest line-ups. They then formed an independent group with younger sibling Mark (harmonica). In the early '70s they decided to go their own ways within the contemporary blues field, as in-demand sessioneers, accompanists and solo performers, subsequently intermittently reforming by demand of their Californian fan base. One such reformation at the start of the new millenium led to a brace of highly acclaimed and successful albums paying homage to two of their early heroes, A TRIBUTE TO PAUL BUTTERFIELD (BRCD134) and IN MEMORY OF MICHAEL BLOOMFIELD (BRCD136). Sticking with it they have now followed through with ANOTHER FINE DAY, another solid blast from the three brothers with an impeccable blues pedigree. -
