Description

If you imagine an immense rectangle stretching across the North Atlantic, bordered on the North by Cape Wrath and New Foundland and on the South by Finisterre and Cape Hatteras, that is the geographic area from which the music collected in this album has emerged. An area of emerald green lands surrounding one of the most inclement oceans in the world. The people who live on these shores are in many ways very different from one other. Yet they have a certain common cultural and musical identity that has been forged by centuries of shared fishing grounds and exchanged stories in pubs and taverns. A great respect for tradition, a love for story-telling, an indefinable melancholy – these are only some of the many moods and feelings that you can find throughout this ocean.
