Purveyors of excellent underground Afrobeat sounds since 1999, Comet records present their first ever Afrobeat compilation, featuring music from Tel Aviv, Stockholm, Toronto, Berlin, Paris, NYC and London, from artists such as The Souljazz Orchestra.The Afrobeat sound created by Fela Kuti and Tony Allen has been inspiring DJs, producers and musicians the world over since the '70s. 'We Love Afrobeat' is a selection of these international groups and artists who are continuing the Afrobeat sound. Despite being loyal to the legacy of Fela this compilation shows how the modern Afrobeat movement blends the classic Afrobeat sound with influences such as jazz, rock, hip hop and electronic music.
