This long-awaited live album unites Wolfgang Muthspiel, one of Europe's premier exponents of jazz guitar and Mick Goodrick, one of America's leading guitarists. It was recorded during the duo's residence at New York's famed Jazz Standard club, in 2003.
Mick Goodrick is a renowned guitarist and educator, has recorded and performed internationally for the past 40 years with other world famous musicians such as Gary Burton, Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden, John Scofield, Jack DeJohnette, Paul Motian, Dewey Redman, John Abercrombie, Dave Liebman, Joe Diorio and Steve Swallow, to name a few.
Wolfgang Muthspiel is one of Europe's premier exponents of jazz guitar. He studied at Berklee in Ma. and went on to found his own label, Material Records in 2000. In 2003 he won the European prize for Jazz Guitar, and in the years since he has performed and recorded with ECM legend Ralph Towner, Dhafer Youssef, Rebekka Bakken and Brian Blade.
