The Norwegian sextet Kaizers Orchestra build cathartic rock songs that borrow heavily from the tunes of Tin Pan Alley and Eastern European folk music. Since their first album in 2001, they shook the Norwegian music scene, won 3 prices for the release including a NOR Grammy, critical acclaim from nationwide press and went on to become the highest-selling rock debut ever issued in the Norwegian language. Since then, they have been #1 on the NOR album charts with each studio album, sold out shows, won 3 additional Norwegian Grammys (for music videos, rock, artist of the year), as well as commercial success in Europe with many tours and festival appearance, like playing the mainstage at Roskilde three times.
The band is experiencing a new unexpected rise on the charts in Norway after a new generation of fans have posted about their 2010 single € Hjerteknuser € (track 4 on this compilation) on TikTok. This has led to more streams and media mentions, in perfect timing before the € Greatest Hits € release.
